The Soul Mates Exhibition at LeMoyne

"Night Music"
high fire enamels, kiln-fired glass

For the Soul Mates exhibtion, we were asked to submit artwork and written thoughts about relationships.
My written submission was as follows:

Thoughts on a relationship - an open letter to my husband

In our beginning, we pledged the promises of youth and passion - loving what we knew about each other and trusting what we did not.

As we begin this our 41st year together, I joyfully renew those promises. The patina of our relationship is as varied and rich as our journey, the memories we share, and the love that we know. You are my husband, my lover, and my best friend. You have lifted me up when I needed it most. You have supported me with love, encouraged me by example, and shared my thoughts and dreams. You are the laughter in my day, the music in my night and my hearts' greatest joy.
